Karin Gerritsen presented the WEAKID device as an innovation to improve the quality of life of kidney patients. On the 4th of April, 2023, the Dutch Kidney Foundation, Imec and the Willem Kolff Foundation organized an a meeting for companies, researchers and policymakers in the high-tech sector to reflect on the invention of hemodialysis 80 years ago and look into the future on how to innovate in the field of dialysis.
