WEAKID Peritoneal Dialysis system uitklapper, klik om te openen

The system validated in the project allows renal patients to dialyze conveniently and continuously at home or at work, independently from a fixed water supply, up to 24 h/day. It is believed that the improved clearance and low glucose load eliminates the current drawbacks of PD (low efficacy, glucose load), offering health benefits and quality of life (fitness, mobility) while reducing medical costs (less medication, dialysis at home lowers costs). It is expected that it can successfully compete against costly in-center hemodialysis treatments.
